The captain will meet you and escort you to the marina's private dinghy pier. Guests then board the dinghy by climbing down a ladder that is similar to a swimming pool ladder--except you won't go in the water itself, so you will be supporting your own weight. It's not long/tall, but if you aren't spry with bending knees, etc, this might not be the best type of excursion for you. Your safety and comfort are most important! From there, it is a very short trip to our catamaran Justice, and you will step off of the dinghy and onto the spacious swim platform. We'll help you with your personal belongings and get ready for an awesome day! At the end of your trip, you will reverse the process, exiting the boat to the dinghy and then climbing back onto the pier.
In Red Hook, the captain will meet you outside gate C at American Yacht Harbor (AYH). A taxi can drop you off right there.
If you drive, you have a couple options. If there is room in the AYH garage, you can park there, but make sure you go to the marina office and ask to pay for a day pass to put in your windshield (They are serious about booting you past 2 hours during the day). You could also park behind Moe's Fresh Market (across the street and up the hill) or at the ferry garage (possibly the cheapest option).
If you get confused, lost, or are unsure of what to do, call Captain Ryan at 443-831-1911. He'll be happy to help you out!
Justice can take up to 12 guests total per charter. Our online booking software will start with a base price that includes room for up to four people and you can add on more up to twelve. If there are only two of you, that's fine, you'll still have the boat to yourselves with the base price. If you met two friends on the beach you'd like to include, just let us know ahead of time so we can get them a waiver and prepare enough food, etc.
Most boats will have you pay for all twelve spots for just two people, but we are fine with just a four-person base price. Is this confusing? No problem! Just give us a call and we'll help you decide on the sailing charter that's best for you.
Guests needing to cancel an existing charter need to provide 48 hours of notice or more in order to receive a full refund. In the event of bad weather on the day of your trip (captain's discretion), we will try to reschedule or offer a refund/no charge.

Casual, comfortable clothing is the norm on Justice. If you plan to go swimming or snorkeling, please wear or bring your bathing suit and a towel. The Caribbean sun can be quite strong, so we advise guests to use non-aerosol, reef-friendly sunscreen and/or a sun shirt or rash guard. It's quite windy on the water, so be careful with hats. Your smile is what will make the day's photos look awesome!
We will be snorkeling the beautiful St. John National Park. This is a generally a secluded, private experience where you will see beautiful coral reefs, sparkling waters, and abundant sea life. It is not uncommon to see turtles where we go. Beginners might request to start their snorkeling from a beach, but we are usually close enough to jump right in from the boat's mooring spot.
Certainly! There is room in our spacious cooler, and other non-cold items can be stowed until needed. Our catered charters offer everything you need, but feel free to bring along anything special you wish to eat or drink.
Mumfy takes pride in designing menus that are fresh, scrumptious, and filling! A typical lunch might include gourmet caprese sandwiches followed by grilled shrimp Caesar salad and a homemade dessert. Please advise us of any dietary cautions we should know about when booking your sailing trip.

We listen to, watch, and read detailed information about weather 24 x 365 (every day). Fortunately, the weather is usually sunny and mild. We will not go out in lightening, confused seas or other uncomfortable weather at the captain’s discretion. If this happens, we will gladly reschedule for a mutually agreeable date.
